We Are Moving!

Throughout this summer, the Bulldogs' Committee have been hard at work, looking for a new home for the club, in order to take the necessary steps to support the growth of the club.

Having been based at County Upper for a number of years, the club were considering alternate venues, when Skyliner Sports Centre approached the Bulldogs, offering sponsorship for their End of Season fundraiser.

“I took one look around Skyliner, and it just felt like ‘home’” said Head Coach Arron MacDonald.

“We’re grateful to County Upper for having us there for so long, but we felt that a change in venue was needed to support our club’s growth, and for us, Skyliner is the premier facility in Bury St. Edmunds."

"We really appreciated them offering a donation at our raffle, and their donation has started this partnership – it just goes to show for any local organisations, when you support the community, the community will support you right back."

"We’re really excited to make the move now, and to become a bigger and better club for our town. The move also puts us closer to the Moreton Hall Community Centre - which has been a venue which has become the home of our fundraisers and End of Season celebrations, and that was really important to us too."

The club will move to Skyliner on Sundays from September 2nd, and will have a 3:00pm - 8:00pm booking (although this may be changed, depending on fixtures).

This will mean that our Sunday training times will change slightly:

- U13 Juniors: 15:00 - 16:30

- U15/U17 Juniors: 16:30 - 18:00

- Senior Teams: 18:00 - 20:00

Additionally, the partnership with Skyliner means that we'll have a few sessions throughout the season based at different locations around West Suffolk, affording us the opportunity to work with prospective players from across the region.

The Senior team will continue to train at County Upper School on Thursdays, from 8:00-10:00pm.

The move to Skyliner will see club banners become a permanent fixture in and around the Sports Centre, further publicising the club to the members of the sports centre, and both the students at Sybill Andrews Academy, and students visiting to compete against them.
