Travelling to Dereham to open their ABA league campaign, Bulldogs U15's began their season against BBitC - a team the U17's got the better of last month.
The short-handed Bulldogs started slowly, and lacked height against their Norfolk counterparts, who out-rebounded the Suffolk side while building a 10-2 lead.
Bulldogs forward Aiden Steel was critical to the side competing, but struggled with foul trouble throughout the first half.
The game showed glimmers of promise, with the debut of Ethan Rogers giving the team a much-needed boost from the bench, as the Bulldogs fell 39-18.
The second game of the back-to-back saw Bulldogs face league favourites, OWE Snipers, and it was during this contest that the side really showed their potential.
The Bulldogs built a narrow 10-8 lead early as Captain Jo Whiteman nailed back-to-back threes, while Steel avoided the same pitfalls as the first game to provide Bury with an inside presence and rebounding.
However, OWE's class showed, as they cruised to a 52-28 win.
"The group learned a lot today" said Coach Seb Benford. "We can take a great deal of pride from these performances, and I fully expect that with more work on the training court - and a deeper bench - we'll continue to improve."
Aiden Steel was given Player of the Day, with Coach Benford saying he was "immense in his effort, and has a lot of upside".
