With the calendar turning to October and the recent spell of wet weather, it's clear that Autumn is here - and the nights will soon be drawing-in.
That means two things:
1) The season is about to start
2) It's the worst time of the year to rely on the basketball hoop in your garden or local park to get some shots up.
As such, we're delighted to announce a new free session for all club members - a shooting and skill development session on Tuesdays from 7-8pm at Culford School.
The session will be supervised by club coaches - though the intention is that the players will lead their own development during this time.
The session is limited to no more than 40 players, and players must be booked-in on Spond in order to attend. No 1-on-1 / team gameplay is allowed during this time - it is strictly for shooting and player development.

"First and foremost, this is a great opportunity for us to re-build the club community in the aftermath of the pandemic" said Head Coach Arron MacDonald.
"It's an opportunity for players from our younger sides to rub shoulders not only with their peers, but with members of our senior sides too, and to understand what some of the most experienced and talented players in our club do to prepare themselves for games, and to develop themselves. It's also a massive opportunity for our players to get on the floor and get better in a less structured environment. Our coaches recognise that self-awareness, motivation and a desire to develop as basketball players is something we all want to see from the players at the club - this session should help us to see who really wants to develop themselves."
Invitations to the sessions will shortly be released on the Spond App.
