Bury St. Edmunds Basketball Club are delighted to announce a two-year partnership with The Playground, spanning the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.

The Playground is "the UK's Number 1 outdoor assault course... probably!" Based in Barrow, close to Bury St. Edmunds, the activities they offer include Pay and Play sessions, Boot Camp and private group sessions, such as Birthday Parties, Corporate Team-building, Sport Specific sessions, Stag/Hen do packages, and much more!

The Assault Course obstacles have been designed and built for both adults & children (7+) to challenge themselves both physically & mentally, and they promise to "assault your senses"!

As part of the partnership, Bury St. Edmunds Basketball Club will offer a complimentary team building day for all junior sides, as well as the Senior Men's National League side during the pre-season in each of the coming two seasons.

Speaking on the partnership, Nick Smith of the Playground said: “We are extremely proud and excited to form this partnership with the Bulldogs! ‘Team-building’ and ‘fun’ have always been at the heart of our sport-specific assault course sessions here at The Playground, so we’re looking forward to working with the team to enhance the bonding and morale across all junior and senior teams over the coming seasons!”

"As a team of coaches, we spoke at length about the importance of building bonds between our players - this partnership shows we're prioritising that." said Coach Arron MacDonald. "We always talk about 'Coaching people who play basketball - not just basketball players' - and we believe that this partnership further demonstrates this, whilst giving our club a great opportunity to come together off the court, build those bonds that are essential in any good team, and have some fun, whilst working with a local organisation. We're really excited to be working with the Playground in this way."
