Culford was the home-court of the club for a number of years in the 2000's, before moves to County Upper School, and later Skyliner and Thurston Sports Centres.

"We'd like to place on-record our thanks to the team at Abbeycroft, and in particular Skyliner" said Head Coach Arron MacDonald. "However, we we were limited by court availability at the Abbeycroft centres - as they have to have a multi-sport offering, and the feeling we had was that the more spread out we were as a club, the less connected we felt. This was an opportunity to remedy that, whilst also returning to a site where we've had some success in the past."
During the club's past tenancy at Culford, fundraising events like the "Midnight Madness" overnight game for Children in Need and a number of unbeaten junior seasons were amongst several highlights , whilst the site was somewhat of a fortress in the club's Suffolk League & Cup double-winning season - current club Captain Billy Smith's debut season.
"The move to Culford is an opportunity to get everyone under one roof whilst we consolidate following the COVID-19 crisis, and it's fantastic to have been approached about the move at a time when basketball at the school is really starting to take off - and there's a level of comfort for us there because of past performance. I believe that we can support in the continued growth of the sport at Culford - in giving the student-athletes at Culford a club outlet, and to give the student population an on-site club to come along and support."

James Yates, Director of Sport at Culford had this to say on the move: "We're extremely excited to welcome Bury St. Edmunds Basketball Club back to Culford. Hosting the club on-site continues to show Culford's commitment to community sport and partnerships with local clubs, whilst also broadening the offer of sporting opportunities for our pupils." As part of the move to Culford, the club will also run all holiday camps at Culford School Sports Centre, with camps taking place every half-term, during the Christmas, Easter and Summer Holidays, details of which will be announced in due course.
