Following an achilles tendon tear early in pre-season, it appears that the Bulldogs will be without new signing JP Dimandja for the duration of the 2021/22 season.

"We're gutted for JP" said Coach MacDonald. "He was only with us for a few weeks - but we could already see what he could bring to our side - he's an experienced player, a leader and a hell of a player - but most of all, he's a good guy."
"Injuries happen - but after more than a year without any basketball, this one feels so utterly unfair. Miracles happen too - and maybe we see him sooner, but in the meantime, we can only wish JP all the very best with his recovery, and can only cross our fingers that we see him back on-court soon."
"As a team, the boys have rallied around him a bit - and I hope JP feels like he's still a part of what we're doing - even if he can't step onto the floor this year."
JP had this to say:
"It was great to get back on-court and start up pre-season with the Bulldogs. I thought we were really looking good, and though I'd only trained with the guys a few times, it was clear we had a solid foundation, and I was made to feel right at home. I was really looking forwards to this season, but for now, I'm going to try and stay positive, focus on my rehab, and I'll be cheering the lads on."
A current member of the UK Armed Forces representative squad and a former London Lion & Kent Crusader, Dimandja was another experienced Senior National League player joining Coach MacDonald's side this year; the club wish him all the very best in his rehabilitation from the injury - and we hope the Bulldogs Family will welcome JP to the court for the 2022/23 season.
