With the NBL application deadline less than a week away, Bury St. Edmunds Basketball Club are delighted to announce another pair of sideline sponsors for the club.

Carters Barbers are a modern barbershop in Bury St. Edmunds, who've been open since 2008 - but the Carter family name has been linked to barbering since 1878!

Having previously supported the club in a number of fundraising endeavours, their Director, Thomas Carter jumped at the opportunity to support the Bulldogs in a more formal way, and is just as excited about the opportunity as we are...

Skyliner Sports Centre has been the home of Bury St. Edmunds Basketball Club for the past season, and will continue to be the home court of the club for at least the next two seasons, as part of the agreement between the organisations.

Centre Manager, Kate Germany, had this to say on the partnership:

“We are thrilled to have Bury St. Edmunds Bulldogs here at Skyliner Sports Centre, in Bury St. Edmunds, and we are proud to support the club – it has been brilliant to see the sessions grow, and they are certainly adding to the “buzz” around the Sports Centre.

It has been great to see the ‘Back to Basketball’ sessions get up and running here and they have proved extremely popular, as well as the matches held here so far. We wish the club every success with moving in to the NBL and look forward to seeing some fantastic basketball!”

Regarding the two new sponsors, Coach Arron MacDonald had this to say:

"We're delighted that our community continues to reach out to support us in this way. Both of these organisations have previously supported our fundraising efforts, and to now move into more formal partnerships with them shows just how much our club is growing. Again though, there's more work going on behind the scenes, and fingers crossed, we'll have more news to share in the coming weeks as we're waiting for feedback from more partner organisations. We're not done yet."
